In addition, the actuator features a non-invasive configuration method, allowing operators to adjust settings and perform diagnostics using a magnetic knob or infrared setter without removing the electrical cover. As a result, this approach preserves the enclosure’s integrity and enhances reliability in harsh environments. Moreover, the BD/BDM05-C8 supports a wide array of control modes—from local field control to remote switching, analog (4-20mA), and various fieldbus protocols. Which control options does the BD/BDM05-C8 Multi-turn Actuator support?
We offer multiple control methods. You can use local control via the magnetic knob or infrared setter. For remote operations, the actuator accepts dry contact signals, 4-20mA analog input, and fieldbus protocols such as Profibus-DP, Modbus, DeviceNet, FF, and Hart. An ESD override function ensures safe operation during emergencies.

- Split-Type Option (BD/BDM-C8F): For applications involving high temperatures or severe vibration, we offer a split version that separates the electrical control unit from the actuator body, with a standard 10-meter cable for remote mounting.

This variant separates the electrical control components into an independent controller, which we mount remotely from the actuator body.
