This IP68 multi-turn intelligent actuator family covers torque ranges from 50 N.m to 3000 N.m (expandable via W-series reducers) and supports absolute encoding technology that never loses position memory. The Bonray factory builds every IP68 multi-turn intelligent actuator  with dual-seal IP68 housings and Ex db IIC T4 Gb explosion-proof ratings, making them suitable for offshore platforms, chemical depots, and water treatment plants. The actuator displays real-time torque, valve position, and alarms on a backlit LCD, while you configure parameters without opening the cover using an infrared setting tool. How does the IP68 multi-turn intelligent actuator handle a valve jam?

The actuator implements a “torque bypass” logic. For 0.2-0.3 seconds after motor start, the IP68 multi-turn intelligent actuator ignores torque limits to break loose a stuck valve. For opening from closed position, this bypass extends to 5-8 seconds, ensuring decapping without false alarms.

  • Phase Protection Suite: The actuator automatically corrects phase sequence, detects missing phases, and prevents reverse-rotation shock. A built-in delay (0.2-0.3s) prevents instantaneous reversal command from damaging the valve stem.

  • ESD Configurability: You define ESD as high-active or low-active. You also decide if ESD overrides thermal protection or not. This gives the multi-turn intelligent actuator priority in fire-fighting or emergency venting scenarios.

  • Two-Wire Control: The actuator supports “signal open / no-signal close” or reverse logic. This reduces wiring costs for remote tank farms.

  • Intermittent Motion Logic: For pump startup or pipeline filling, you activate “intermittent operation.” The multi-turn intelligent actuator then moves in short bursts (e.g., 1 second on, 2 seconds off) to prevent fluid hammer.

  • Automatic Decapping Logic: When you command open from fully closed, the multi-turn intelligent actuator temporarily disables torque protection for 5-8 seconds, ensuring it breaks loose high-friction seated valves.

Model and Type

The BD200-IIC on-off actuator does not provide proportional control. It is suitable for applications where the operating frequency does not exceed 60 cycles per hour, the continuous operating time is no more than 15 minutes, and the duty cycle is no greater than 33.3%.

The BD200-IIC intermittent modulating actuator provides proportional control and is suitable for the same operating conditions: operating frequency ≤ 60 cycles per hour (for three-phase models, the short-time operating frequency can reach up to 600 cycles per hour), continuous operating time ≤ 15 minutes, and duty cycle ≤ 33.3%.
